Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Installation Technician to oversee and perform residential and light commercial HVAC installations. This role requires strong technical ability, leadership, and a commitment to delivering top-tier service. You will supervise installation projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure all jobs meet company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC installation projects from start to finish
- Install furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, ductwork, and control systems
- Mentor and train apprentice and junior installers
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Collaborate with service and sales teams for smooth project coordination
- Maintain accurate job documentation and material usage
- Conduct final inspections and customer walk-throughs
- Address customer questions and provide system operation guidance
- Maintain an organized work vehicle, tools, and job site
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC installation experience (residential and light commercial preferred)
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, refrigerant charging, and duct installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and various environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Compensation
- $30/hour during initial 1–2 week training period
- After training: $30/hour or 6% commission on all installations led
- Commission jobs do not include overtime—commission applies if it exceeds hourly total

Position Summary
The Residential HVAC Installer Apprentice supports the lead installer with the removal, installation, and setup of residential heating and cooling systems. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, reliable, and looking for advancement opportunities in the HVAC industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with removal and installation of residential HVAC systems
- Support the lead installer while following manufacturer specifications
- Interact professionally with customers on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in customers’ homes
- Ensure job sites are cleaned daily and at project completion
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle inventory
- Arrive on time and complete tasks to company standards
- Lift up to 60 lbs
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 1 year of HVAC experience or completion of HVAC certification program
- High School Diploma required
- Tools preferred, but we will train the right candidate
